Happy Holidays to all of my blog friends who celebrate!

Happy Holidays to all of my blog friends who celebrate! I have so much that I could write, but it's just too damn hectic around here. Life keeps on throwing those fun curve balls. I'm catching as many as I can!! ;)

Anyway, I hope that everyone has a happy festive December holiday of their liking. I'm not being politically correct, I'm taking everyone's beliefs into account. That's called manners and sensitivity. I have to say, briefly (yeah, right), that I was at the library last week to fax something (I've never hooked up my fax, and whenever I need to fax, it's usually important enough that I don't feel like finding the manual and wires. It's just easier to pay). So after I was finished, I said, "Happy Holidays!" which I consider a nice thing to say to anyone as it's all (or most) inclusive and you should just say, "Thanks, you too," "Bite me, and Bah Humbug," or whatever. What I don't need is a big tirade on how the librarian (who doesn't know me at all, but wrongly assumes that because I live in this vast sinkhole of conservative hickdom, I must believe as everyone else does) thinks that I should say "Merry Christmas," because that's what time of year it is and "we all know that's what we're really celebrating." I will say whatever I want when I want to wish you well, and if you don't like it, I hope an angry elf shits on your figgy pudding.

No, I didn't point out that it was in fact an important time of year for people of varying faiths and beliefs and that I was being sensitive to that, rather than acting like an ethnocentric jackass. The term, "Happy Holidays" has graced greeting cards for much longer than there was this emphasis on political correctness. It can simply mean Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, as in the plural - holidays, or, as she was suggesting, it can be politically correct. I was just trying to be nice. Whatever the case, I'm quite sure she would not have reacted well if I had walked in there on Dec. 12th and said, "Happy Hannukah." I could have done the same thing and also qualified it by saying that it was that time of the year. Then again, she would have looked at me like I had bugs crawling out of my nose, because she has more than likely never seen a Jew (how scary!), and wouldn't have known how to react. Still, I like to put these things in perspective. But I kept my mouth shut, smiled and left.

For the record I'd like to say that I do celebrate Christmas, and I'm not offended if someone wishes me a merry one. I just think that public librarians shouldn't make assumptions about people, or feel the need to spew out their theories in public while working. I celebrate a happy, sharing time of year when most people act just a little nicer and a little more civilized. My idol of choice is Santa. He's a nice, plain and simple guy to get on board with, in my opinion. Good or bad, that's it. No 12 rules, or shame, or what have you (I don't think I've ever said that before - "what have you" -it makes me sound old or something). Plus there are the cookies and the nog.

How was that for not having any time to blog? lol

So to all of my friends, family, stalkers, and the vast plethora of admirers and fans, I wish you "Happy Holidays!"

I had a wonderful time with my family

Well it's the day after Christmas and I don't know about you, but I had a wonderful time with my family leaving me feeling really good, even as I wash every glass and piece of silverware I own...lol As I think about how wonderful it is to have such a loving family and friends, I also think about you who are reading this, my "good mornings" and the "Hello's" Even though I may never meet you I want you to know that I do Appreciate Your Friendship very Much!!

I hope You had a wonderful Christmas!

So what did you guys do for Christmas? Anything funny happen?

Would love to hear!

Giving toys as a gift this christmas

It is part of our Christmas tradition to give candies to the children who go to our house on Christmas day. There hundreds of children who go around the village or city for a house to house Christmas greetings. This year, instead of purely giving candies to the children, I decided to give some the toys of my children which she doesn't play anymore. With this, I will surely give happiness to those less fortunate village who would come to our house and at they same time I will put away the clutter at home.

I am just curious as to what the theologians and scientists out there think.

I know that there are generally two schools of thought on how we came to be on this big old planet in the universe. there are those who are usually religious types who believe that god created all that is in the universe and us as well. all living creatures and that when we die those of us who are good and just and believers will ascend upon death to heaven, and those that are bad will end up in hell for their aferlife.

then there are those who believe in evolution, that at some point tens of millions of years ago we crawled out of the primordial goop, then from some little amoeba we evolved into primates, then into nearndethals then into humans, the form in which we currently are.

now here is my question, why is it that these two things cannot exist together, you know science and religion side by side? i mean could it not be possible that the maker in his/her infinite wisdom created the primordial goop from which we are supposed to have emerged.

The "media" has truly become irresponsible.

Media is supposed to keep the public informed about things that concern a common man, right? WRONG.....

What I find that today's media is doing everything else than that. They make a person a star just for any silly reason they give coverage to news which is not at all important. They publish articles which are of least importance. The "media" has truly become irresponsible.

Let me acquaint you with this, there were these terrorists who was caught firing AK 47 in the streets of Mumbai, launching fire grenades. All of them were dead when finally the militarry arrived. But this particular one was caught alive. These guys were responsible for terrorist acts, killed atleast 100' s of people and panicked prevailed in the busy city called Mumbai for a week. Now the media comes up with strange stories about this guy. he is Ajmal Kasab. Someday he is feeling dizziness; a headliner, someday he wants to celebrate rakhi (a festival in India); a headliner; today he is supposed to go for fasting (holy month of Ramzan) and the jail would serve him non-veg food; a headliner again. LoL The guy should be castrated and hanged but instead he is treated as a celebrity. I bet that if the pathetic judicial; system doesn't punish him soon enough he would even contest in the next elections.

Nevertheless I would like to know what is the media like in your place? Do they give undue importance to irrelevant news? Do they always seem to follow the daily activities of the filmstars forgetting some grave issues, concerning the common man? Lastly; do you think that the media in your country acts responsible? Please do share.

ShopWiki gives its shoppers translates to better deals and savings.

I enjoy shopping but to me it doesn't mean overspending. At times I love to shop with companies like friends or family but most of the time I prefer to shop alone. With that I can freely walk around without the need to rush and without minding for whoever is waiting for me.

Shoppers are only shown the stores that have PAID for placement; hence, they are not able to find anything and everything that's for sale online. Consequently, they can only avail of fewer products from fewer stores, and so miss the opportunity of finding better deals and savings. Well, here's good news! ShopWiki revolutionizes online shopping by finding every store on the internet by crawling like Google. So, shoppers see more products from more stores online. This advantage that ShopWiki gives its shoppers translates to better deals and savings. ShopWiki is a site that gives quite detailed information on the use of this and I would like to share it with you now. Not only can you read and learn about the use of wireless routers, but the site contains very detailed information on the different standards and speeds for use of home, home office, or for laptop users, allowing you unlimited access anywhere with your laptop, and for gamers. Perhaps you enjoy watching a movie, or listening to streaming audio; this is one place you can learn more about that also.

understanding comes with time.

I listened to the other persons story, i trusted their judgement. I struggled to come to terms with many things and this person didn't live up to my expectations, but by lowering my standards for that person, (not for myself) and accepting myself as i am and them as they are...

I've finally come to a good level of understanding and compassion. A place i never thought i would achieve as my beliefs on certain topics I've been so adamant about. However I've realized that you don't have to compromise who you are to allow someone to be who they are and that many times you are expecting others to live up to standards which are too high. This doesn't mean that you have to lower the bar for yourself, but you can realize that other people have different values for themselves and expectations of themselves and accept this.

Isn’t this great?

The landscape design in Scottsdale AZ

If you can stand the heat in the summer, Arizona is a great place to live. It’s being overdeveloped, which is sad, but I can understand why so many people want to live there. The desert is gorgeous!... The landscape design in Scottsdale AZ is well famous for its fertility and pleasant atmosphere. With an average weather temperature above 80 degree, Arizona is one of the hottest states that best known for its desert landscapes and national reservations for recreation. When comparing with other states in US, Arizona looks better climate for living. I love heat more than cold climate. Cold airs rising from Canada sometimes penetrate and brings the temperatures below zero in the high plateau and mountainous regions of central and northern Arizona. Since the climate is hot, Arizona homes are typically surrounded by beautiful tropical garden of fancy landscape designs.

Agnosticism

[Agnosticism (Greek: α- a-, without + γνώσις gnōsis, knowledge; after Gnosticism) is the philosophical view that the truth value of certain claims — particularly metaphysical claims regarding theology, afterlife or the existence of deities, spiritual beings, or even ultimate reality — are unknown or, in some forms of agnosticism, unknowable.[1] It is not a religious declaration in itself, and an agnostic may also be a theist or an atheist.]

I was raised a devout Methodist (among other things that included avoiding alcohol).

At the age of 17, close friends showed me the light, and I became a full-blown atheist overnight (given my Sixth-Form class at school it was an exception to be anything else). This also allowed me a couple of years later to be able to enjoy the occasional beer!

I stayed like that until 1995 when, while working in Munich, I met a mad Scotsman (must have been mad - he was always buying rounds of drinks for everyone!), who was also a devout Roman Catholic (another sign of madness - he had a load of friends who support Glasgow Rangers). He is incidentally still one of my closest friends.

I found that I agreed with him on most things except religion. He did persuade me though that logically I could no more disprove the existence of God than he could prove it, and therefore I should become an agnostic. He, having faith, did not need logic, therefore he could stay a Catholic.

So for years I described myself as an atheistically-inclined agnostic. It was only after my heart attack last year, and nearly dying during the second operation, that I reverted to atheism - on the grounds that science suggests that when the brain and heart cease to function, the rest of the anatomy will, and it makes no sense to believe that anything else survives. The conscience and subconscious being both parts of the brain, they will depart with the brain.

For all that I will happily accept agnosticism - there is a logical argument for it. For that matter, I will accept anyone believing anything as long as it does no harm to anyone else, physically or emotionally.

Online Car Search

One of my friend dreamed to own a car. His dream was an sport cars that he drive around. As he search on the net about cars she told me and show to me one of the model that he really admired of. Last week I talked with him again and he is now currently living in UK. He shared about how his lifestyle there. He works very hard for his family. Now he´s planning to buy new car and he doesn´t know where to buy and I guess this website will be the best site for him to search for a new cars.

At www.BuyYourCar.co.uk is a relatively new venture, only being 3 years old. It is very different to any other car portal in the UK. It focuses on all aspects of car purchase and research. Whilst other sites purely focus on Used Cars, New Cars or Car Leasing. BuyYourCar.co.uk has something unique to offer, via this uniqueness they stolen a march on their competition.

I'm talking about the people who we don't like so much

Some are politicians, others are actors, some are musicians. But they aren't always celebrities, some are family, former friends, coworkers or employers.

I'm talking about the people who we don't like so much that the mere mention of their name elicits negative reactions within us. We don't even know most of them, nor will we probably ever meet them. But that doesn't matter, we can't stand them anyway.

Of course there are the universal ones.. Hitler would be among these, but it doesn't take a holocaust to earn a person this dubious status.

Who are yours? Mine are:

Hanoi Jane Fonda
Nancy Pelosi
John Lennon
Bill & Hillary Clinton
Gen. Eric (Black Beret) Shinseki

About Perfume

I wear perfume called moonlight path. I love it! Do you wear perfume or cologne and if you do then what is a called?!?

Take a look to it: new perfume blog

I have a story to tell about scent. I do not know when it started but the university coeds now had been naturally greeting each other with pecks on the cheeks. We used to say hi or hello in the past. Or the boys would shake hands, Eventually, that turned into a high 5 or a simple Yo! But now the kissing and the hugging had become a friendlier gesture. One late afternoon though, when I fetched my brood in school, my niece exclaimed to my daughter "Have you applied lapigessence?" My daughter answered "I think I have. What about you? Have you sprayed lagarbage?" My niece responded "Certainly!" And they did not kiss. I asked what was that all about. They said that it is the person's natural scent after a long day's work. Sort of eaue de toilette. (Lol)

KFC workers caught bathing in restaurant sink.

Did you hear about this story?

It comes as no surprise then that three teens have decided to emulate Tackett, photographing themselves bathing in a multi compartment sink used for washing and then sanitizing dishes, cookware and other items at the Anderson, California KFC.

According to reports, three girls stripped down to their underwear or changed into a bikini and then proceeded to photograph themselves bathing in the restaurant's sanitation sink and posted them on a social networking site. 3 people were involved & were reprimanded & suspended.

So what do you think about that? Everyday something new happens that makes me worry about eating out.

Sex scandals in the Philippines and they are only taking actions today.

I open the television last night and I can't help but to be curious about a sex scandal of a famous actress and a doctor here in the Philippines. I was really that curious that I asked my officemates if they have seen the video and it started to pour through bluetooth. I saw both of the videos and I can't help but to pity the woman who has been innocent of knowing that supposed to be their private moment was caught on tape.

Anyway, I don't want to elaborate the scene, the issue right now is having been debated over the congress and they are planning to have a law against the people who were violating it.

I agree but this is the nth time of sex scandals in the Philippines and they are only taking actions today. If they have done something about this decades ago, it must have been preventive.

One more thing, they are arguing and rushing on the bill and the law for this but the real problem of the society has been ignored again. Poverty, unemployment, etc.

You? What's your opinion?
